The Clearpoint Evening Outpatient Program is designed for clients who are stepping down from a higher level of care such as an intensive outpatient program. Facilitated by Masters-level clinicians, this maintenance-level process group is offered once a week and is typically 75 to 90 minutes in length. Process group involvement can be a stand-alone service, or more often, is combined with individual therapy at Clearpoint.
Outpatient Group Therapy at Clearpoint
The Evening Outpatient Program is available for clients who have achieved a sense of stability in maintaining recovery and behavioral change. Groups focus on the development of positive lifestyle changes and offer a chance to explore issues such as relationships, career, self-esteem and self-image, and the development of a supportive social network.
Evening group therapy takes place on Tuesday at 6:30 pm and includes:
- Sober Support, which is facilitated by Master-level clinicians and utilizes Motivational Interviewing and process psychotherapy techniques, and clients are encouraged but not required to attend 12-step meetings.
- Relapse Prevention explores and offers strategies to address issues which can pose a threat to sobriety such as finances, relationships, family issues, career matters and spirituality. The Master-level clinicians who facilitate this group employ a variety of clinical techniques including psychotherapy process, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Experiential.
- Mindfulness and Meditation focuses on learning meditation and mindfulness skills to support recovery and relapse prevention and is tailored for those in 12-step recovery programs.
